Welcome to the RUF at Erskine website!

In the pages that follow you will find a thumbnail sketch of many of the ministry offerings we provide Erskine students in the course of a semester and school year. So, whether your are a student, a prospective student, or a parent of one of the above, I hope you will find the website helpful in learning more about our ministry in Due West, SC. Our Sunday night fellowship at the Barn is intended for Erskine students, but we welcome visitors! It is not unusual for us to have guests, whether they are visiting parents, prospective students, local townsfolk or Erskine staff. During most Sunday nights of the semester we offer a 5:30pm cookout, followed by music and Bible study at 6:15pm. We are generally done by7:30pm, though folks are welcome to linger for fellowship afterwards.

Each semester we study either a book of the Bible or have a topical series from Scripture on a subject of pertinent spiritual interest and importance for Erskine College students. In everything we do, our ultimate purpose is to reach, nurture and equip students with the Christian Gospel for the Christian life. We do this in an effort to remain on the "bullseye" of the Gospel, while also making a significant contribution towards the achievement of the Erskine Mission in the lives of Erskine students.

Erskine Sends 53 to RUF Conference

We sent a great group to Camp Greystone for the Southeastern Collegiate retreat Sept 19-21, actually the largest group of all 13 campuses represented. Our music team from the Barn led music for the 300 college students and did a great job. We enjoyed Andy Jones speaking on the "Holy Spirit" and our group really got to know one another better through the small group discussion on the speakers questions.

Special thanks goes to the ARP Student Union at Erskine for committing their limited resources given to them by the General Synod each year to help provide scholarships to assist Erskine students to attend the $90 per person conference. Their gifts, as well as gifts from a few churches and young alumni helped to provide 50% scholarships for all our students as well as several 100% scholarships for those with exceptional needs. The conference was definitely worth it!
