Ministry to Local Widows![]() One cool Fall Sunday night in the Fall of 2003 a man in a cowboy hat and his family showed up at The Barn asking "Is this where RUF meets?" Some introductions and explanations followed, as did a relationship between Student Fellowship at the Barn and Widow's Watchman Ministries. That spring break we had our first cooperative effort in ministry, where 20 students spent half of the week ministering to 20 widows. Camping out and cooking out on Bill's Farm, shooting skeet, doing home and yard maintenance for widow's, having conversations and prayer with them in their homes, and debriefing each night with campfire devotions all contributed to a great week of learning to love our neighbors as ourselves.
